-10 ώρες δουλειάς σήμερα....ατελείωτη μέρα. Τελείωσα όμως αρκετές εκκρεμότητες, και έτσι   μπορώ να ξεκουραστώ την Κυριακή.

-Στο εσωτερικό του DBoard box έστρωσα άλλα 2 χέρια εποξική και 1 χέρι εξωτερικά.
-Κόπηκαν τρίφτηκαν και κολλήθηκαν οι κάτω κόντρες του DBoard box.
-Κοπηκαν τα bulkheads στο κάτω μέρος για να περάσουν οι κόντρες.
-Ενώθηκαν και κολλήθηκαν τα πλαινά πάνελς με but joint

Την Δευτέρα (αν όλα πάνε καλά) θα κολληθούν τα gunwales στα πλαινά πάνελ και μετά συναρμολόγηση μέχρι την Παρασκευή.



-10 Hours work today .... endless day. But that is enough leftovers, so I can rest on Sunday.


-Inside DBoard box rolled out another 2 hands epoxy and 1 hand externally.

-Were cut sanded and glued down strips reinforcements DBoard box.

-Bulkheads were cut at the bottom to spend strips reinforcements

-They were joined and glued the side panels with but joint

On Monday (if all goes well) will be glued to gunwales the side panels and then assembled by Friday.

Μονο 2 ώρες δουλειάς - Only 2 hours of work

-Μπόρεσα και δούλεψα και σήμερα έστω και για 2 μόνο ώρες. Τουλάχιστον είναι έτοιμα πλέον τα gunwhales και τα bulkheads. Επίσης ένωσα με εποξική και τα 2 τμήματα του DB trunk
 
-I was able and I worked today, even for just 2 hours. At least it's now ready to gunwhales and bulkheads. Also joined with epoxy and 2 sections of DB trunk

Η πρώτη αστοχία - The first failure

- Η πρώτη αστοχία είναι γεγονός. Η κόλληση των πανελς της γάστρας δεν έγινε σωστά. Η πίεση στη μια πλευρά δεν ήταν αρκετή με αποτέλεσμα να υπάρχει ένα κενό στο joint περίπου 1 mm. Ξήλωμα λοιπόν και ξανά από την αρχή. Έπειτα από αυτό, ασχολήθηκα με το λαμινάρισμα του εσωτερικού του Dagger board trunk, με fiberglass ύφασμα και εποξική, καθώς και κλείσιμο των τρυπών των bulkheads με εποξικό στόκο.
Στο  τέλος έκανα scurf joint στα gunwales και τα κόλλησα και αυτά με εποξική.

- The first failure is a fact. The adhesion of the panels of the hull was not done properly. The pressure on one side was not enough with the result that there is a gap at the joint of about 1 mm. Demolition and then again from the beginning. After that, I worked on the lamination of the inside of Dagger board trunk, with fiberglass cloth and epoxy, and closure of the holes in bulkheads with epoxy putty.
In the end I scurf joint in gunwales and solder them with epoxy.

Κολλήσεις με Εποξική - Epoxy Bonding

- Σήμερα ήταν μια καλή μέρα. Κολλήθηκαν τα bulkheads και τα πάνελς της γάστρας. Η θερμοκρασία ήταν πολύ καλή κοντά στους 30ο Κελσίου και η δουλειά με τα κοψίματα και τις κολλήσεις έγινε αρκετά ευχάριστα.
Για ισχυρότερη κόλληση χρησιμοποίησα στην αρχή καθαρή εποξική και μετά από λιγη ώρα παχύρευστη εποξική με προσθήκη microfibers.
Για την ένωση των πάνελς χρησιμοποίησα ένωση butt joint.
Ο σκληρυντής που χρησιμοποιώ είναι αργός οπότε θα περιμένω τουλάχιστον 24 ώρες μέχρι τον πολυμερισμό της εποξικής. (ξέχασα να τραβήξω φωτογραφίες απο τις κολλήσεις)


- Today was a good day. Glued the bulkheads and the hull panels. The temperature was very good close to 30o Celsius and job cuts and solders became quite pleasant.
For stronger bonding used to start pure epoxy and after some time thickened epoxy with added microfibers.

I use butt joint for the bottom hull panels. 

The hardener I use is slow so I'll wait at least 24 hours to cure the epoxy. (I forgot to take pictures of the solder)

ΠΙΣΩ ΣΤΗ ΔΟΥΛΕΙΑ -BACK TO WORK

-Επιτέλους μετά από πολύ καιρό, αρρώστιες και δουλειές, κατάφερα να επιστρέψω στο project μου.

Σειρά σήμερα είχαν τα bulkheads και το dagger board box καθώς και το transom του κυρίως σκάφους. Επίσης πλανίστηκε και ο   πάτος  του σκάφους και όλα είναι έτοιμα για κολλήσεις με εποξική.ρητίνη.

-Finally after a long time, sickness and work, I managed to get back to my project.

  Today΄s turn had bulkheads and the dagger board box and  transom of the main hull. Also planing the panels of the bottom of the hull and everything is ready for epoxy resin bonding..
